This Week's Beach Buddies, Meet Petunia & Sunflower!

November 1, 2018

Hi, I’m Petunia!  Me and my buddy Sunflower are two young cats that were brought into the shelter by an animal control officer who found us injured in a field.  We were rushed into surgery that same day and each of us had to have a front leg amputated due to the severity of our injuries.

As we have recovered, I can assure you that missing a front leg has not deterred us in the least!  We are energetic and love to explore.  We loooove people, and are okay with dogs and other cats but are happiest when we are the sole object of a human’s affection.  We are good kitties who are litterbox trained and like to use the cardboard scratching post.

I (Petunia) am a rather regal-looking brown tabby with an intense gaze that will make you feel you are the center of my universe.  I am currently holding court at the adoption center at Petsmart in Midtown Miami.

Sunflower is all black with beautiful big eyes; she will be joining me shortly at Petsmart (it took her slightly longer to recover from the amputation because she kept pulling out the stitches)!  She shares the same friendly personality as me.  We are both purrfectly adaptable to almost any situation, and are looking for our forever homes!

Our adoption fee is $85 and anyone interested can reach out either via or message us via our Facebook page -

Thank you!
