The happiest place on Earth has gotten a bit creepy amid the coronavirus pandemic.

With Walt Disney World closed since mid-March due to the COVID-19 outbreak, private jet pilot Jonathan Michael Salazar got a birds-eye view of the theme park’s deserted grounds.

In a series of stunning aerial photos, many of the Magic Kingdom’s iconic attractions can be seen completely devoid of any people.

Included in the pics are images of Cinderella Castle, Epcot Center, Star Wars: Galaxy Edge and various hotels and resorts.

To get the shots, Salazar flew 1500 feet above the park in a Cessna 172 Skyhawk for about 90 minutes. He was accompanied by a safety pilot who took over controls as he snapped the photos with his camera.

“It didn't really hit me until maybe about 100 pictures in. I was over the Magic Kingdom Park and I made my way through on to the north side of the park, and I see the cast-member parking lot is basically empty,” Salazar told the Orlando Sentinel. “I had to set the camera down. That's when it hit me that there is not a single soul.”

He added: “I planned ahead to ensure that everything about this flight was not only legal but also safe.”

While it’s unclear when Disney World will begin operations again, Disney Springs, the retail, restaurant and entertainment complex adjacent to the Magic Kingdom, will begin a phased reopening on May 20th.

In addition, Disney World's website began allowing reservations for its various resorts and hotels for travel beginning on July 1st.

On May 11th, Disneyland Shanghai reopened to visitors after being the first of the company’s theme parks to close in January.
